While well known as the official F1 TV reporter for leading French television channel Canal+, Julien Febreau is also pretty handy behind the wheel! Making a successful entry into rallycross in 2008, Julien contested six outings in a Citroen C2 in Division 4. Two years in Super 1600 followed, with victory at Lohéac, Essay and Mayenne, together with four second places, five pole positions and seven lap records aboard a Citroen Saxo Kit car.
In 2014, a switch to Supercars, again at the wheel of a Citroen, netted victory and the lap record at Pont de Ruan, before moving up to World RX, contesting the RX Lites round in Canada in 2015. Finishing third, he became the first Frenchman to finish on the podium in the new World RX Championship.
He joins Albatec Racing aboard one of the team’s two-litre, 16v, 4WD Peugeot 208 RX Supercars for select rounds of the French Rallycross Championship.
