Undoubtedly among the fastest British rallycross racers, David Binks started his racing career in 2000, and claimed the Minicross title the following year. Progressing up the ranks, he moved into Supercars in 2008, impressing in an underpowered and out-dated Mitsubishi, before securing a Mk6 Ford Fiesta in which he twice claimed third in the year-end standings.
In 2012 David joined double WRC champion Marcus Grönholm in the new Global Rallycross Championship in the US consistently qualifying to the A Finals, and despite a season-ending roll in Las Vegas, the Newcastle-born racer finished seventh overall. Sponsor Best Buy pulled out of rallycross just before the 2013 season, leaving David without a drive, but an instructor role at the American rally school DirtFish allowed him to keep competitive. David joined Albatec Racing in a 600bhp Peugeot 208 in Rallycross of Loheác in 2014 and was all set for a semi final appearance until a fire ended his hopes. A World RX outing at Lydden Hill in 2015, alongside Andy Scott was just one event that the talented Briton hopes to undertake, on his return to full-time Rallycross on the world stage.
